The Fuller Grocery at 202 East Douglas, circa 1890. Then one of the oldest grocery stores in Sedgwick County, it was operated by the Fuller family from 1872 to 1912.
Wichita City Hall
Wichita City Hall, built 1890 (photo taken 1908). The building’s impressive 170-foot-high central tower had no clock until a Seth Thomas model was purchased by the Rotary Club of Wichita as a gift to the community and installed in 1917. The original Central Fire Station is to the left.
